essence - Style me Love

Today, I have one of the polishes from the essence LE called "Nails in Style". It was released this summer. My local drugstores got it quite late... around the time when I had asked my friend to get me all these nice polishes in the states. I felt so poor... and still couldn't stop buying more here in Germany. ^^; I remember that I felt all these stares when I paid like 8 polishes on the register. Tehehe.

After Milani's Hi-tech, I felt like wearing another bright color and stumbled upon "Style me Love", a pink/silver metallic polish. For some reason, I forgot to take pictures when I had this on my nails. I didn't copy my pictures to my computer for a while, so I didn't notice! When I noticed later on I quickly took some... the thing is, I had cut down my nails in the mean time...

I was quite opaque after just one coat, but I applied two. Also, it dried really fast on the surface. I had to apply this polish very quickly or I would have dragged it. But I like the result.

When I took it of, I discovered another side of this polish:

The same polish! While taking it off, I noticed that the pink would go away really quickly, leaving the silver that was harder to remove. The silver has a lilac tint, that I adore!

I'm so glad my nails are already longer than the first pictures in this post. My fingers felt so short, haha.

Milani - Hi-tech

Another week has passed.... again! Time is flying by so quickly lately... :(

Anyway, we have had sunny weather in Germany! So I decided to wear one of my new holographic polishes. I chose Milani's Hi-tech, the green polish from their holo line.

Greens are usually a difficult color for me, but this one works with my skin tone, I think. I like Hi-tech a lot! It's all sparkly and shining soooo pretty in the sunlight. Sadly, my camera failed me at taking pictures. I don't know how many I took exactly, but most of them were totally weird. It really seemed to me that the holo effect was too much for my camera. Or maybe the combination of holo and the green. No idea.

I recently decided to cut down my nails. I'm working a lot more on the computer lately and my nails started to get in my way while typing. It's way more convinient right now, but I miss the length... Looking at these pictures doesn't make it better at all... Plus, right after cutting them down, they started breaking again. And here I thought my nails were finally getting stronger :(

First nail art in a while

I was quite surprised when I felt like doing some nail art a while ago. I had just bought a new white polish and wanted to see if this finally is the kind of white I was looking for.

It's a very simple design, but I liked it. I just completely failed at painting stars that day. I never wanted to add the rhinestones, but looking at the ugly black things I had painted, I just felt like I had to to make it look somewhat ok.

It is not the kind of white I was looking for - a warm white. This one, too, is a cold white and super sheer. This is 4 coats! And it took forever to dry. I'm surprised that I was patient enough to not smudge it in the meantime... It's a discontinued MNY polish I got discounted.

So the search for my perfect white will continue... :D
