First nail art in a while
I was quite surprised when I felt like doing some nail art a while ago. I had just bought a new white polish and wanted to see if this finally is the kind of white I was looking for.
It's a very simple design, but I liked it. I just completely failed at painting stars that day. I never wanted to add the rhinestones, but looking at the ugly black things I had painted, I just felt like I had to to make it look somewhat ok.
It is not the kind of white I was looking for - a warm white. This one, too, is a cold white and super sheer. This is 4 coats! And it took forever to dry. I'm surprised that I was patient enough to not smudge it in the meantime... It's a discontinued MNY polish I got discounted.
So the search for my perfect white will continue... :D

Nubar - Mali Blue + 2010
After my first real glitter sandwich, I also had to try Nubar 2010! My friend brought this polish back from her trip to the USA, too. I love her for bringing it! In the mean time, I acquired Nubar - Mali Blue on ebay for little money and decided that I want to see these two polishes combined.
I forgot to take pictures of Mali Blue without 2010 on top of it. I really like the color. Really summery blue.
2010 is kind of bright on top of Mali-Blue. I don't really like the combination. It looks okay on the pictures, but I just couldn't get myself to like it while wearing... No combination I'm going to do again.
Also, my favorit top coat essence BTGN Top Sealer failed me here. I think it doesn't like to be put over Nubar polishes. You can see here that there is some weird texture that is not caused by my impatience this time! This happened again, when I used 2010 for the second time, so it's either 2010 or the combination with my top coat... :(
What do you think of the combination Mali-Blue + 2010?

Excuse the non-existant clean-up. I took this right after applying the polishes :) |

And again a Glitter Sandwich
A few weeks ago, my friend went to the USA to visit her boyfriend. I was really lucky that she offered to bring me some stuff. So I ordered a few things and had them sent to her boyfriend's place. When she returned, she brought me a lot of nice polishes. Among them two of the jelly polishes from the OPI Texas Collection.
Well, I immediately had to try a glitter sandwich with them. Basically, I ordered these polishes specifically to try a glitter sandwich, hehe.
This is one coat OPI - Guy meets Gal-veston, topped with one coat of OPI - Teenage Dream. I finished it with another coat of Guy meets Gal-veston. Top Coat is essence BTGN Top Sealer.
I loved how juicy it was looking. Sadly, I only had the chance to take pictures in the sunlight after a few days of wear, which explains the tip wear. I was very pleased with this combo. ♥
From the color in the bottle I didn't expect the OPI jelly to be so pink though. But I love it! I'm pretty sure, I'll even wear this exact combo again.
Hah, jelly sandwich mission accomplished! :D

Deborah 7 Days Long Mirror Glow No.153
Another manicure from the time when I didn't feel like doing any nailart in particular. I just looked through my stash and noticed all the pretty polishes I got from the lovely Cel a while ago, when I won her giveaway surprise.
One of the polishes is Deborah 7 Days Long Mirror Glow No.153, a really stunning polish. When I first held it in my hands, I wanted to wear it immediately, but didn't because I had just done my nails ^^; No.153 is a gorgeous plum colored polish with gold and silver flakies in it. The flakies are pretty noticeable in the bottle, but aren't as prominent on the nails. It's still absolutely beautiful! But you need top coat, because it doesn't dry to a "mirror glow" finish. The finish is actually kind of dull. But add some top coat and it is all glowy.
This is 2 coats of No.153 plus one coat of my favorite top coat essence BTGN Top Sealer. I wish my camera was better at taking macro shots... It really failed me here.
I also got a matching ring from Cel! Love it!
Later, I thought that maybe my choice of color wasn't the best after all, because it is pretty dark for a hot summer day. I think this one will be one of my favorite autumn polishes though. I really love it! :)
